Generally described as an experimental documentary, “j” is composed of a series of medium head shots recorded in both 16mm film and video. You never see the ‘subject’ (Jessica Erker), only images of her friends, family, relatives, and acquaintances' reactions to her questions; questions whose answers reveal more about those interviewed than that of their subject. + Received Kodak Production Grant
